BACKYARD TRANSFORMATION

When we envisioned the new outdoor living space at Sage Highlands, we imagined we were sitting at a Tuscan winery during golden hour.

The owners of this Poway home wanted plenty of space for outdoor dining and lounging. Having a young child at home, the backyard also had to be suitable for kids. We love creating innovative outdoor spaces for families that can check both boxes. The outcome of this gorgeous Poway landscape design has just the right combination of sleek and rustic elements, while being absolutely perfect for a growing family.

This outdoor renovation also included multiple eco-friendly upgrades. We incorporated bio-swale to keep drainage water onsite, as this is safe for the environment and prevents water run-off. Additionally, we installed a new sprinkler system that uses 60% less water than traditional systems.

To keep it fun for the little ones, we added a sand pit, custom swing set, and poured a custom sidewalk that can serve as a racetrack for a bike or scooter.
