We had the opportunity to help two South Park homeowners renovate their historic Spanish-style home to perfection. When they first saw this house, the homeowners were blown away by the uniqueness of the backyard. Nestled in a canyon, the backyard had mixed elevations and retaining walls that dated back 100 years. The topography of the backyard was unlike anything we had ever seen.

The mixed elevations of the backyard made for a fun and challenging project. In fact, it was hard to wrap our heads around the design at first. After a few drafts of designs and renderings, we were able to create a strategy that perfectly executed all of the elements that the clients were looking for.

Everything was built with the historic nature of the home in mind. Knowing the homeowners’ style preferences, we created a healthy blend of contemporary elements while using Spanish style colors, textures, and finishes.
